Instal kernel devil 1.6.0 and reboot recovery If have old miui
installed(If you have installed CM10 new partition layout installs directly with
wipe)
wipe data factory reset, cache and
dalvikcache
in mount and storage format system and cache
install
Reboot phone wait a minutes
Reboot
if have problem go in recovery (wipe data factory reset, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvikcache)

INSTALLATION FROM GALAXY S ROM STOCK:
Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery
Or Using ODIN flash CF-Root for you firmware.
Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo (VolumeUp+Home+Power)
Do a Nandroid Backup or your choice backup application
wipe data factory reset, wipe cache partition and dalvikcache
Install ROM from internal sdcard
It will restart and continue looping – remove battery
Go back to recovery (VolumeUp+Home+Power)
Install rom from internal sdcard
reboot
Finish
INSTALLATION - CM7 OR ANY ROM ICS :
Copy the rom on internal sdcard
do all wipe (wipe data factory reset, wipe cache partiotion, wipe dalvikcacke)
Go on install zip from sdcard
Select the zip and install
Reboot and wait a few minutes
reboot
You have finished
