Okay, first thing I want to say is that I ported this. Andy Thomson did the hard work in bringing the latest MIUI builds to the GT-I9000. My ports include some tweaks and personal options that I like/enjoy. He and I have a mutual understanding that if we find a fix or improvement, we share them. He was gracious enough to let me port off of him, and didn't even ask for credit or recognition, just fixes. This guy's awesome, gotta give it to him.

This rom has been updated with Build.prop tweaks (Seen in 3rd post) in order to make your captivate run faster than the Flash, leap taller buildings than Superman, and teleport faster than Goku. I hope you all enjoy!

WARNING:Upon flashing this "ROM" your warranty will be voided. The methods and procedures discussed here are considered risky and you should not attempt anything if you don’t know exactly what you are doing.
If any damage occurs to you or your device, including a bricked, non-functional device, I will not be held liable. I will however provide assistance in the form of forum posts, private messages, e-mails, or other type requests to alleviate any issues you may have.
1. Use ODIN to flash to a stock rom. (1-Clicks available in stickie'd post in the Android Dev forum). KK4 Should be fine, rooted kernel (w/o bootloaders)
2. Boot into recovery using 3-button method
3. Provided you have the update.zip for CWM on your sdcard... Reinstall Update.zip
4. Again select Reinstall Update.zip
5. In Clockwork Mod, select Wipe Data/Factory Reset
6. select Wipe Cache
7. Install ROM.
8. Your phone will probably reboot during installation and bootloop.
9. Use 3 button method again and hold it until it boots back into recovery
10. Install rom again
11. Enjoy
Best practice is to always start from stock. If you're like me, start at step 2, skip to 5, proceed.
1) Boot into recovery
2) Wipe Data/Factory Reset
3) Wipe Cache/Dalvik Cache
4) Reinstall ROM
5) Advanced --> Fix Permissions
6) Reboot
Now test the same feature/app that was previously causing issues. If you still receive a crash, please send a screenshot/message with the crash, as well as any log files that may be associated. I hate to say this, but assume ANY ISSUES are caused by a missed step, or improperly flashed ROM and start from step 1. Otherwise we will have too many people asking for help without trying any remedies themselves.
